After years of doing repair work, studio prep, and custom drum building, we realized that there were certain inherent sonic issues that always needed to be addressed in both the recording processes and live performances. The historic solution has always been packing lugs and gaffers tape. With a background in both engineering and musical performance we knew there had to be a better way. This lead to the development and design of our unique hardware and drum manufacturing processes.

For us, the past two years have been a journey not so much about reinventing the wheel but reinterpreting, revamping and redefining. The hardware and drums themselves were such a success, and in high enough demand, that in early 2007 we formed Green Mountain Drums. Our drums are a fusion of classical design elements, and modern high tech material solutions. We create drums that are not only esthetically beautiful but have a unique voice all their own.
